When this task makes sense
A seller says it issued a refund, but you cannot find the credit.
Have ready
- Order ID, seller confirmation, refund amount and payment method, kept in your own accounts.
- The seller's stated refund window and your payment account statement.
Stop & check
- Do not enter card numbers, bank statements or order details into this website.
- Do not ask Muse to claim a refund was received unless you have checked your account.
- For a billing-error or dispute deadline, contact your card issuer directly; do not wait for an agent workflow.
Copy the task instruction
This is a suggested starting instruction, not a tested guarantee. Replace details inside Muse, not on this site.
Help me follow up on a refund I was promised. Organize the order date, amount, seller's promise and original payment method from information I choose to provide inside Muse. Find the seller's official support path and draft a short factual status request. Do not send it or accept store credit without my approval. Do not say the refund is complete until I verify the posted credit in my own payment account. Tell me what evidence to keep and when I should contact my payment provider directly.
What to ask Muse to do
- Compare the merchant's refund message with the order and payment method.
- Ask Muse to find the seller's support channel and draft a factual follow-up.
- Review and approve the message, including what order details it contains.
- Track the response and check the actual credit in your payment account.
Approval points
Review these before Muse acts. An assistant's ability to take a step is not permission to take it.
- Approve any outgoing merchant message and the personal information it includes.
- Review any offer of store credit instead of an original-payment refund before accepting.
How to verify the result
Tick these off for your own reference. Checks stay in this browser tab and are not uploaded or saved.
If it doesn't work
- If a seller does not resolve the problem, ask your card issuer whether a dispute is available and what deadlines apply.
Sources and scope
A merchant ticket is evidence of a request, not evidence that funds have posted. Check the original payment account yourself.
